Tim Cook steps down as Apple CEO |
Tim Cook, who joined Apple all the way back in 1998 and succeeded Steve Jobs in 2011, is stepping down from his CEO role at the tech titan. Cook will transition into the role of Apple’s executive chairman. “For the past 15 years I’ve started just about every morning the same way. I open my email and I read notes I received the day before from Apple’s users all over the world,” Cook wrote in a community letter. Hardware veteran John Ternus is stepping in as the next chief, while silicon expert Johny Srouji is now the company’s hardware chief. |
